Objectives: This study, on the subject of China’s electrical and electronic industries which are making much investment in R&D, aims to grasp why they patent or don’t patent the output of R&D. Methods/Statistical Analysis: This study drew “to patent” and “not to patent” factors through specialist Delphi with factors drawn from foregoing studies. With them it proceeded with direct or online survey on the subject of electrical and electronic industries in China. Finally, importance was calculated by finding means and standard deviations from collected factors. Findings: This study aims to look at the purposes of applying or not applying for patent presented by foregoing studies and conduct empirical analysis on Chinese enterprises. It was the order of performance index, preventing patent infringement suit, license profit, preventing imitation and blocking competitor’s activity in the order. It was in the order of maintaining secrecy, patent maintenance cost, making corporate information public, patent application cost, easy invention and difficulty in proving a new invention. Difference between this study and foregoing studies lies in that this study made study on the subject of China’s electric and electronic industry but foregoing studies made survey on Korean enterprises. A small number of samples for metrics seem to have caused such difference. Improvements/Applications: This study’s suggestion is that it can be used by Chinese enterprises at the time of setting up strategic intellectual property rights from R&D stage; Practitioners could use this study for guideline in establishing each company’s intellectual property right strategy. Keywords

Background/Objectives: This study was conducted to solve the problem by predicting vaccine demand in advance through analysis of progress of birth of newborn babies in our country. Methods/Statistical Analysis: The deducted problem was defined and information, data, and use analysis method and planning procedures for creating alternatives for this issue were conducted. Afterwards, R which is an open source analysis tool was used to analysis and for visualization. In this analysis, a time series model (ARIMA model, Box-Jenkins methodology) was used to predict demand and perform the research to predict the number of births in Republic of Korea. Findings: The tuberculosis vaccines in Korea are currently being entirely of imported ones. However, the import volume often lacks meeting the demand. In this paper, research was performed to predict the demand of tuberculosis vaccines to secure vaccine stock. As result of analysis, the number of births next year was predicted to be 445,558 (in 2016). Also, analyzed results showed that approximately 388,251 to 502,864 babies will be born in reliability level of 85% and that approximately 357,915 to 533,200 babies will be born in reliability level of 95%. Vaccine should be prepared standard to the minimum value within error range because vaccines have expiration dates. Also, if more births occur than the predicted result, the issue can be coped in prior plans of preparing BCG seal-type vaccines by comparing with monthly predicted number of births. Application/Improvements: The results of this study will be applied to the ways to politically solve problems such as supply and demand of BCG vaccine for the expected newborns. Keywords

Methods/Statistical Analysis: In this study, an analysis was performed by utilizing a big data analysis tool, R. The present study, after defining the deducted problem phenomenon, conducted a process of planning which included the necessary information for finding an alternative for resolution and a data and application analysis technique. The data needed in the analysis was obtained from the Seoul open data square and the public data portal. The study attempted analysis and visualization by using the open source tool of R for analyzing the data, and conducted a process of interpretation. Findings: In this study attempts to find an alternative that can prevent bicycle safety exercises. The study presents the problems of current bicycle roads and their improvement plan by big data analysis which includes the relationship between the installation rate of bicycle roads and the bicycle accident rate, the location of bicycle roads, the location of bicycle amenities, and population data. In this study attempts to find an alternative that can prevent bicycle safety exercises. To achieve this, the study presents the problems of current bicycle roads and their improvement plan by big data analysis which includes the relationship between the installation rate of bicycle roads and the bicycle accident rate, the location of bicycle roads, the location of bicycle amenities, bicycle satisfaction, bicycle use statistics, and population data. The generalization of bicycle roads to regular residences implies a construction by considering the connectivity and stability of bicycle roads, but atypical infrastructure construction has played a part in increased damages resulting from the ignorance of bicycle users to traffic safety regulations. The perception of bicycle users must change and the building of bicycle roads must be based on people centered transportation infrastructure. Application/Improvements: The results of this study can be used as part of improvement of bicycle road accidents by central government and local governments. The results seem to be applied in policy, such as building bike paths centered around pedestrians. Keywords

Background/Objectives: We wanted to find out the relationship between self-disclosure intent to disclose themselves online openly and the right to be forgotten that they want their information to be forgotten online. Methods/Statistical Analysis: In order to measure each variable of the research model, all items of the questionnaire were measured with fivepoint Likert scale. Questionnaire items were modified according to the environment called social network service from existing studies. Also, verification for the measurement model was carried out targeting a total of 115 responses used in the analysis. For measurement model verification, we used Partial Least Square, a structural equation approach and used SmartPLS 2.0. Findings: According to the study results, perceived privacy risk had a significant effect both on privacy protection awareness and privacy concern. Perceived privacy can be understood to affect acceptance of the right to be forgotten by a medium of privacy protection awareness and privacy concern because the path known for privacy protection awareness and privacy concern to affect acceptance of the right to be forgotten was also found to be significant. On the other hand, the hypothesis that privacy self-efficacy affects privacy protection awareness and the hypothesis that privacy concern and acceptance of the right to be forgotten have a significant effect on self-disclosure intent were rejected. In order to use SNS, some degree of personal information disclosure is inevitable. Therefore, feeling concerned about privacy or not does not have any effect on self-disclosure intent in SNS. Likewise, the relationship between acceptance of the right to be forgotten and self-disclosure intent also turned out not to be related each other. Application/Improvements: Protection Motivation Theory should be applied as the antecedent of privacy protection awareness or in-depth research on other privacy-related factors affecting self-disclosure intent in addition to self-presentation needs. Keywords
